Intent
Science is part of our broad and balanced curriculum, and we ensure our science learning is active, engaging and empowering. We provide opportunities for pupils to learn and practice skills which are meaningful and that they can use in later life. We set high expectations in science, with an emphasis on language rich experiences and environments. Opportunities are given for pupils to feel safe and confident to take risks and explore. We provide a science curriculum that covers the national requirements but also includes a wide variety of old and new scientific discoveries, inventors and current global events.
