Recycling Paper!
To encourage all members of our school to recycle paper, our Eco-Warriors have decided to purchase special green recycling bins for every classroom. They introduced how and why these bins should be used in assembly this week and delivered them to each classroom.
4.2.16
Our Eco-Warriors have launched a whole school recycling scheme this week. We have asked our children to collect old textiles from home so they can taken away to be recycled.
Bottesford Eco-Warriors 2015!
We aim to promote sustainability and share ideas of how we can, as a school, all help to save electricity and water, develop biodiversity, encourage recycling, promote healthy lifestyles and gain an understanding of how our actions can effect different parts of the world.
Eco-Warriors will meet regularly and use assemblies to inform and pass information to everyone in our school.
- 16.1.15 - The Eco-Warriors have started their Environmental Review of our school. From this we can decide on the key areas we wish to develop. All the Eco-Warriors thought we were a very healthy school and that we looked after our school grounds well. We thought our school garden promoted biodiversity through our planting, growing and encouraging wildlife.
- 20.1.15 - Eco-Warriors led an assembly encouraging all pupils and staff to save electricity in school by switching off lights, computers and projectors if they are not being used. They also gave the pupils of our school an overview of our aims and roles as Eco-Warriors.

Orange Class - Jayden and Annabel

1.5.15 - Eco-warriors meet to conduct a school check for leaky taps around school. Any leaks are reported to Mr Botfield.
5.6.15 - Eco-warriors meet with Mrs Zetterstrom to ask her to but recycled products where possible for the new school year.
Bottesford Infant School Eco-warriors are proud to announce that we have achieved the Bronze eco-school award! Well done Eco-Warriors and all the children in our school for all your hard work!
The Eco-warriors will now be looking ahead to our next academic year to decide on the actions we wish to pursue in the year ahead.
