Mrs Woodhead is the class teacher and Mrs Walker is the TA.
P.E will be Tuesday and Thursday. As P.E times change throughout the year, could you please ensure that P.E kits are brought to school on Monday and they will be taken home on Fridays.
Autumn Term Coverage -
This term our whole school theme is 'Heroes'
Literacy - In literacy the children will be writing letters, diaries, character descriptions and non-chronological reports.
The children will be covering a range of spelling, grammar and punctuation skills.
Numeracy - In Numeracy the children will cover a range of activities involving skills such as improving their mental arithmetic, the 4 operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) and challenges linked to applying these, fractions, understanding the properties of shapes, comparing measures, time and money.
Computing - In Computing the children will be using digital research as well as ongoing word processing skills. Children will be reminded of E-safety and how to keep themselves safe whilst online.
Science - We will be focusing on materials. We shall be naming and sorting materials, identifying and comparing their properties.
PSHCE - We will be focusing on the values Working Together (Busy Bee) and Enjoyment (Merry Monkey)
Art and Design - The children will be creating artwork linked to Divali and Bonfire Night.
Music - The children will be exploring pitch. They will also be practicing their singing and performance skills.
PE - The children will have opportunities to cover aspects of gym, dance and games.
Design and Technology - The children will be designing and creating 3D models of planes
History - The children will be learning about the history and development of aviation. They will also be learning about local hero Amy Johnson, WW2 heroes and the Red Arrows. They will also consider the future of air travel.
RE - The children will be learning about rules, who is special to them and we shall be exploring the religious festivals of Divali and Christmas.
