Mrs Woodhead is the class teacher and Mrs Walker is the TA.
P.E will be Tuesday and Thursday. As P.E times change throughout the year, could you please ensure that P.E kits are brought to school on Monday and they will be taken home on Fridays.
Spring Term Coverage -
This term our whole school theme is 'Beautiful Britain!'
Literacy - In literacy the children will be writing instructions, retelling stories, letter writing and looking at poetry.
The children will be covering a range of spelling, grammar and punctuation skills.
Numeracy - In Numeracy the children will cover a range of activities involving skills such as improving their mental arithmetic, the 4 operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) and challenges linked to applying these, fractions, understanding the properties of shapes, comparing measures, time and money.
Computing - In Computing the children will be using digital research as well as ongoing word processing skills. They will continue to develop their awareness of e-safety.
Science - The children will be working scientifically, learning about plants and identifying best conditions for plants to grow. The children will also be looking at the impact seasonal change has upon plant growth. The children will have opportunities to carry out a range of exciting scientific investigations.
PSHCE - The children will be focusing on Respect and Relationships. We will also be focusing on the values Communication (Chatty Dolphin) and Achieve (Amazing Ant).
Art and Design - The children will be exploring colour and pattern. The children will be focusing on portraits including Pop Art. The children will also be creating 3D sculptures of London landmarks.
Music - The children will be learning about Pulse and Rhythm.
PE - The children will have opportunities to cover aspects of multi-skills and gym.
History - The children will be finding out about Parliament and how the country is run. They will also be learning about the Royal Family past and present.
Geography - The children will be focusing on famous landmarks of London. They will also be comparing different areas of the UK.
Design and Technology - The children will be designing and creating an afternoon tea.
RE - The children will be developing a greater understanding of the key beliefs of Christianity and Hinduism.
