Today, we are going to be thinking about the beginning, middle and end of the three little pigs story. You could listen to the story again to keep it in your mind.
When we retell the story, we will be writing it in three parts. Can you tell your adult the story and separate it into three parts - beginning, middle and end?
Can you draw the three separate parts of the story to show the beginning, middle and end? Can you say what is happening in each picture out loud? You might want to label each picture, beginning, middle and end to make it clear for you?
Tomorrow, you will be writing the beginning of the story. In school, we would do our talk for writing to help us remember the story. Attached is a video of Mrs Johnston doing some talk for writing for the beginning of the story, can you practice this with her? We would usually do this lots of times to help you remember. Can you do this in different voices? Can you begin to do it without looking? Can you teach it to your grown up? We will do the talk for writing in our google meet in the morning to help us remember, ready to write tomorrow!
Yesterday you focused on counting and reading 2 digit numbers.
Today we are going to focus on counting forwards. Can you count to 50? See the attached video to help you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQHLjYJxLDI
If you can count to 50 confidently then move onto counting to 100, you could use the attached hundred square to help you or the attached video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGetqbqDVaA
Look at the attached power point to support with your learning.
Can you complete the attached worksheet, what number is missing? Remember to form your numbers correctly.
Extension if you are confident that you can sequence numbers with 100 then you can start to work with numbers beyond 100.
We are going to be continuing to look at the seaside this week and comparing it to other places.
