Is there sufficient holiday childcare available for working families?

The school holidays can be a stressful time for parents trying to juggle childcare and work commitments.  North Lincolnshire Council would like to determine if there is sufficient holiday childcare available to meet the needs of working parents of school age children in North Lincolnshire.  There is a short questionnaire available on the Council website for families to complete.  Families that complete the questionnaire before 17 May 2019 will be entered into a free prize draw to win a £20 voucher.

This is the link, it will take families directly to the questionnaire on the council consultation page

North Lincolnshire Council has a duty to secure sufficient childcare for the needs of working parents in the area.  To meet this duty the council needs to understand demand for childcare from parents.  A consultation during the summer of 2018 indicated that there may not be enough school holiday childcare to meet the needs of working parents.   North Lincolnshire Council wants to know more about parent’s needs, the number of weeks they need holiday childcare, the timings and their existing arrangements.  We can then determine what support the council can provide in partnership with existing childcare providers and agencies that offer school holiday childcare to meet parental demand.
